We have a dynamic group of individuals who bring a deep understanding of the entertainment industry and its particular nuances to our team. Rob Eklove, our Vice President of Sales, is highly knowledgeable in the entertainment scene, with nearly twenty years of experience owning and operating several restaurants in downtown Toronto. Rob was a manager at The Rivoli in the 90s at the height of the vibrant Toronto independent music scene (think Barenaked Ladies, Blue Rodeo, and other iconic artists). He then went on to establish and own Lava Lounge on College Street and later Supermarket in Kensington Market. Rob’s background proves highly advantageous in understanding his tenants’ needs, as he is able to look at sites through the lens of a restaurant owner and operator.

Additionally, our Chairman & CEO, Avi Behar, is an active professional musician and composer, and has played concerts at the Toronto Jazz Fest, and in places as unique as Dar Es Salam, Tanzania and Quito, Ecuador. He continues to regularly play concerts in Toronto’s club scene and beyond. Avi amalgamates his expertise in both the commercial real estate industry and the Toronto music scene to bring a unique perspective to all of our projects.

Avi Behar, Rob Eklove, and Rami Kozman have been retained to handle the leasing of the historic Silver Dollar Room – one of Toronto’s most iconic live music venues. Located at 484 Spadina Avenue, the 5,267 square foot retail street front space is situated along one of Toronto’s busiest thoroughfares.

The Silver Dollar Room’s interior has been immaculately re-built while maintaining original heritage components including the décor and finishes. GBCA Architects and Clifford Restoration were involved in the historic consultation of the interior elements to ensure alignment with its original form. The result is a space that exudes character and rich history.

Our client is looking for a creative operator who can make use of an immaculately preserved space. Ideally uses should have the ability to operate throughout the day and evening, and should cater to the dense local demographics of urban dwellers, university students, and professionals. Additionally, our team, in partnership with Live Nation Entertainment, brokered the deal that brought Toronto rapper Drake’s HISTORY live music and entertainment venue to the cityscape of Toronto. Greg Evans and Rami Kozman represented the landlord in the transaction of the 30,000 square foot listing. Located in the Beaches neighbourhood, the 2,500-person buzzy venue creates an intimate setting for guests to enjoy an up-close and personal experience with performers.
