The Behar Group Realty Inc. takes pride in fostering an environment that promotes mentorship and support to young leaders in the industry. Our team has been engaging with students from universities across Ontario including Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson), University of Guelph, University of Waterloo, Wilfred Laurier University and Western University. We have been speaking with these future leaders at career fairs, panel discussions, and networking events regarding a potential career in Brokerage and offering advice on all things commercial real estate.
Our Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Avi Behar, recently joined representatives from CBRE, JLL, Colliers and Lee & Associates for an informative panel discussion at TMU. The brokerage event was hosted by Ted Rogers Real Estate Association, TMU’s real estate student-run organization, and included insightful commentary from the panelists regarding their experience in CRE. A portion of the evening was dedicated to networking, and students were able to engage with the industry professionals to ask questions and to gain further insights.

At TBG we are key proponents of mentorship, and we strongly believe in the immense value of offering a hand to the next generation. Last year our President, Greg Evans, also participated in a TMU panel discussion and led a networking seminar.
Additionally, we recently onboarded two highly skilled TMU summer interns, Shanzay Malik and Alyssa Benn. We were introduced to these terrific women through our continual engagement in these student-run events and we are so pleased to welcome them to our team. While their internship formally begins in May, we have invited them to join our weekly leasing and sales meetings to gain an insider’s perspective on the Brokerage business.
