Summer is just around the corner and so far, we’ve had a beautiful start with the weather in Ontario. Although the pandemic has brought upon many closures in a variety of industries, golf has recently opened up and players (including some of our agents) are excited to get back on the course.  

 Golf has always been a great way to connect with clients and people within the real estate industry, so we wanted to give you the inside scoop on top 3 public courses within the GTA that our agents have personally recommended.

1. Wooden Sticks Golf Club – Uxbridge 

   Wooden sticks Golf Course is a beautiful course located in Uxbridge, Ontario and they offer tee times for both members and the general public.  What makes this course really special is that they have replicated holes from several famous courses from around the world. They’ve incorporated various styles, such as the famous island green par 3 from TPC sawgrass and Augusta inspired holes.

2. The Nest at Friday Harbour – Innisfill

   If you have ever been to Friday Harbour, you know that it’s a beautiful spot along Lake Simcoe in Innisfill. In addition to their beautiful community of condos, lake townhouses, restaurants, and hiking trails – they have a beautiful semi-private golf course. It’s been built within the last 5 years by award-winning golf course architect Doug Carrick.  

   This course is a beautifully maintained yet challenging course suitable for more advanced golfers. Tee times must be booked in advance and no walk-ins are permitted.

3. Glen Eagle Golf Club – Bolton

Glen Eagle has been opened since 1962 and is located in Bolton, Ontario. It is a totally public golf course with over 25 holes. What makes this golf course unique, is that they offer 3, 9-hole variations so you can change up your traditional 18-hole round each time you play.  

The course is located on exceptional scenic grounds, situated in the beautiful Albion Hills and is very well-maintained.  

It is a challenging course but is fair to amateurs. Although you can walk this course, carts are recommended.
