Here at The Behar Group, we are always looking to promote growth and learning opportunities for both ourselves and the people around us! This summer we decided to expand #TeamBehar by welcoming Jake Adler, our newest intern.
Jake has found an interest in the world of Real Estate and is looking to gain some quality, hands on experience of what it is like to work at a brokerage.
In traditional Behar Group fashion, we decided to ask him a few questions so that you can get to know him better.
Check out his responses below:
Where do you go to school and what program are you in?
I go to school at Queen’s University and I am heading into my fourth year at the Smith School of Business.
What attracted you to want to work at The Behar Group?
I was drawn to The Behar Group because of its family-oriented corporate culture.
What sparked your interest with commercial real estate?
I was exposed to the commercial real estate industry from a young age. This combined with living in Toronto my entire life and seeing the ways in which this dynamic industry has grown and evolved, sparked my interest in this field.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I fill most of my spare time with sports, specifically hockey. I also love to cook, especially when I’m living at home in the summer’s and don’t have to eat on a ‘student’ budget. Lastly, I like to hang out with friends exploring new restaurants, bars, and parks.
What are you currently watching on Netflix?
Right now, I am watching a show called Peaky Blinders, which is about an urban street gang in Birmingham, England in 1919, just after the conclusion of World War One.
If you could visit anywhere in the world you’ve never been, where would you go?
I have always wanted to travel through Italy, but unfortunately ran out of time to visit during my recent study semester in Tilburg, Netherlands.
And lastly, complete this sentence:
I’m happiest when…
I am with my friends and family watching the Leafs win!
