Since opening her first restaurant, Cora has changed the eating habits of an entire generation.
The adventure began in May 1987, when Cora bought a small diner in Montreal’s Saint Laurent district. After just a few months of operation, Cora changed the diner mission, making breakfasts her specialty. Combining fruit, cheese, cereal, omelettes, crepes and French toast, culinary magician Cora started a whole new breakfast concept in Quebec. Today, there are over 125 franchised restaurants with many more in the works.
Cora restaurants are committed to promoting the importance of eating breakfast, and to creating unforgettable food experiences for customers, by providing high-quality products and service in a warm, family atmosphere.
The Behar Group is sourcing locations across Ontario on behalf of Cora. High traffic downtown sites and grocery anchored shopping centres with a blend of mid-week business traffic and residential consumers are ideal for Cora restaurants. The hours of operation are 6:00 am to 3:00 pm, thus rendering Cora a fantastic traffic generator for shopping centres in non-peak hours. Spaces between 3,200 and 4,000 square feet will be considered. Cora has also developed a new ‘small-market’ prototype which can range from 2,500-3,000 square feet. Patios are preferred.
